The latest version of the Tesla Cybertruck has been unveiled at the Texas Gigafactory, and it’s a sight to behold. Rob Maurer from the Tesla Daily podcast on YouTube was lucky enough to get a first look at the updated design, which features a sleek exterior and a few updates on the inside and outside.
The truck has red LED lights underneath, showcasing the company’s branding, and a dark glass roof which was recently spotted in a drone flyover. The steering wheel is a combination of the standard round and the controversial yoke steering wheel found in the new Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles. The interior screen appears to be larger than the one in Model 3 and Model Y and is likely to be 17 inches in size.
The air suspension on the truck is seen to be raised with large off-road tyres, making it one of the most advanced systems on the market. It is able to self-adjust height based on the road-surface conditions, using data from the entire fleet to determine these conditions ahead of time. The truck bed in the rear also has an industrial look, as intended by the design team. Lastly, the large windscreen is equipped with a single wiper blade, which has previously been seen in prototype testing Cybertrucks on the road.
It’s exciting to see everything coming together as Tesla gears up to start production of the Cybertruck and fulfill over a million reservations, hundreds of which are expected to be in Australia. Riz, founder of carloop based in Melbourne, specialising in Australian EV data, insight reports and trends, is passionate about EVs and wants to help reduce transport emissions in Australia. He currently drives a red Tesla Model 3.
The new Cybertruck looks set to revolutionise the EV market and make a huge impact on the environment. With its advanced features and sleek design, it’s sure to be a hit with drivers all over the world.
