Genesis, the luxury car brand of Hyundai Motor Group, has announced the pricing for its first US-assembled electric vehicle, the 2023 Genesis GV70. The GV70 is a mid-size SUV that will be available in two versions: a rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive.
The rear-wheel drive version of the GV70 will start at $49,995, while the all-wheel drive version will start at $54,995. Both versions will come with a 75 kWh battery pack and a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge. The GV70 will also come with a host of advanced driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and blind spot monitoring.
The GV70 will be powered by two electric motors, one in the front and one in the rear. The combined output of the two motors is estimated to be around 400 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. The GV70 will also feature a regenerative braking system that will help to extend the range of the vehicle.
The GV70 will be built at Hyundai’s Montgomery, Alabama plant and is expected to go on sale in the US in early 2023. The GV70 is part of Genesis’ plan to launch six new electric vehicles by 2025.
The GV70 is the latest in a growing list of electric vehicles from Genesis. The brand already offers the G80 and G90 sedans, as well as the GV80 SUV. All three vehicles are powered by gasoline engines, but Genesis plans to offer electric versions of each model in the near future.
The GV70 is an important step for Genesis as it looks to expand its presence in the US market. With its competitive pricing and advanced features, the GV70 is sure to be a hit with luxury car buyers looking for an electric vehicle.
