The Western Australian government has launched a new grant scheme to encourage businesses to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in their workplaces. The scheme, which is part of the state’s commitment to reduce emissions and promote the uptake of EVs, will provide businesses with up to 50% of the cost of installing a workplace EV charging station.
The grant scheme is part of the WA Government’s commitment to reduce emissions and promote the uptake of EVs. It is estimated that the scheme will help to reduce emissions by up to 10,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
The grant scheme is open to businesses of all sizes, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Businesses can apply for up to $10,000 in funding to cover the cost of installing a workplace EV charging station. The grant can be used to cover the cost of purchasing and installing the charging station, as well as any associated costs such as labour and materials.
The WA Government has also announced that it will provide additional funding for businesses that install more than one workplace EV charging station. This additional funding will be provided on a sliding scale, with businesses receiving up to $20,000 for installing two or more charging stations.
The WA Government is encouraging businesses to take advantage of the grant scheme and install workplace EV charging stations as soon as possible. This will help to reduce emissions and promote the uptake of EVs in the state.
The grant scheme is part of the WA Government’s commitment to reduce emissions and promote the uptake of EVs. It is hoped that the scheme will help to reduce emissions and encourage businesses to invest in EV charging infrastructure.
